Traceable workflows and consistent permissions for sensitive data.
MFA, access control and traceability designed into the portal.
Pangaea needed a laboratory portal capable of connecting oncologists, secretaries, laboratory reception staff and administrators in one workflow. The application was designed to streamline requesting, managing and delivering laboratory tests between all involved roles.
The project combined SaaS development, APIs, multi-factor authentication and cybersecurity criteria to protect sensitive data and reduce manual work in a process where traceability is critical.
The portal was designed around the real roles involved in the process: doctors requesting tests, secretaries coordinating information, laboratory reception staff managing intake and administrators needing supervision and control. Each workflow had to be clear for users and consistent at the permission level.
Security was a design condition from the start. Multi-factor authentication, access control and traceability helped create a more reliable foundation for working with sensitive information, reducing friction between teams without losing control over the process.
